Tal tells me he had a blast during the interview and said that the folks over at BREAK THE HOUSE ENTERTAINMENT(BTHE) are very cool peeps and are about to do some very big things in the music/entertainment scene. While the vibe was serious regarding Tal's music during the interview, Tal says there were quite a few laughs on set -- he also said it would be tough to find a harder-working, more professional group of people than those with BTHE, and that everyone should follow them on Twitter to see what cool things they'll be up to: @Break_The_House

It's good to know that there are some very dedicated people in the music industry still working hard to put new/underground artists and their music in the public eye. So with that said, I Mort Dork would like to send a personal shout out to BREAK THE HOUSE ENTERTAINMENT for repping my man Big Tal in such a big way!!!! Salute!!!!!

Bruiz gettin' Crispy with it...

Greetings, hiphop earthlings and residents of the indie music community! 

It is I, Mort Dork the reporter, with yet another update for your vacation-ready minds in the world of hiphop!

Yes, the summer's nearly here, and your minds are wandering to some tropical resort vacation area where the Coronas and margaritas overflow with the promise of a new day -- full of palm trees, bikinis and Mort in a swimsuit...but I am bringing you a music update, just because that's what I do!!!

I've been out and about these days in Philly...Yunno the usual, buying new rims for my bicycle, grabbing some Rita's water ice, and mackin' on the honies...where I bumped into my main man Bruiz from Sewey Hole Fam, and he's like, "Yo, Mort, I'm dropping my new single on May 23rd called "Crispy"!!!"  So I immediately went to work with writing a report....ummmmmmm, right!!!!!!!!

Bruiz is set to release "Crispy," a new single that he let me get a sneak peak of (Prod.by Sam da grouch out of Miami for one room production), which is a horn-infused, gritty real hiphop knocker that is destined to stay in the jeeps and Caddies (or in my case, in my customized bicycle boom-box).  Bruiz will  be dropping "Crispy" on May 23rd on his "Sewey Fam" indie label (in Philly, Boston, Atlanta, Detroit, South Carolina, North Carolina, Miami, Florida & Las Vegas).  The song will be available on iTunes, with an extra 2 new songs available as well...so download some new music in a couple weeks and support indie hiphop!!!

Taliesin talks about new video and collab with Kastilano, for their song "KillEm"

Greetings hoodlums, harems, and hip hop aficionados!!!

This is the one and only Mort Dork the Reporter, reporting from Philadelphia PA, the home of Balboa and cheese steaks, Big Tal, stray alley cats, and The Art Museum...

Hope you have all been well and living up your dreams in 2015!  Just wanted to drop a line to say hi, and to let you know what's on the horizon for Taliesin aka Big Tal.

Big Tal will be wrapping up his second video shoot for "KillEm" this weekend, a new song and callabo with Philly native Kastilano, whose album "The Machine" dropped not long ago as an instant hip hop banger. 

Tal and Kastilano joined forces on "KillEm," and are set to drop their first song/video off of their new EP (untitled at the moment), which is set to release this spring.  It's a power-packed lyrical lunge at current events in America and the mind state of the people, destined to outlive the moment and be a classic for years to come.  Tal let me listen to the finished mix in the studio, and I must say it is very impressive. He also let me tag along at the video shoot, on a day he claimed was "colder than a vengeful penguin in an icebox," and let me be on site for an up-close and exclusive look into this dope production.

I asked Tal what was behind the song's title "KillEm," as it sounded rather violent in nature, and he had these words to say: "Me and Kastilano are killing it lyrically with bullets of the brain; it's not a physical thing, it's killing bad vibes intelligently with our wordplay -- and if you listen to the song you can hear 2 MCs giving you their thoughts on the craziness of the world right now.  We're bringing you peace of mind through music in the most positive of ways: artistic expression."

Hi, it's me! Mort Dork, kiddies!

Greetings hip-hoppers!  This is Mort Dork the reporter, signing in from East Jabip, to bring you all the latest news on your favorite rapper and mine, Taliesin aka Big Tal!  It's been a minute since I wrote a damn thing -- ok maybe longer than a minute...but I've been watching football, so give me a break! And you can admit it, you've missed me and my newsflashes! Well, do not fear, I'm here, I'm Mort, and I'm gorgeous as ever!

Here's the latest on Tal, and other important news in the hiphop world that you'll want to read about...

Tal is back in the booth recording tracks for several upcoming projects, including his own solo album, tentatively titled, "Unapproved Rd."  He recently had the pleasure of dropping two verses for Judah Priest's upcoming project 144, 000 Chosen Few (Judah Priest, of Wu-Tang clan affiliation, recently dropped his own album "Dark Ages,"  which is dope as all hell, so pick that joint up!). Tal has also been busy working on two EPs with two different artists:  one EP with an artist named Kastilano, (who also just dropped his album, which is hiphop at its finest, titled "The Machine." YES, pick that up too, kiddies!), and another EP with his main man Supreem Da Rezarekta' (who recently put out his summer smash "Queen of the Wobble" on Youtube, so go peep that video and buy the song, because it's hotter than a steam bath in the Sahara Desert! 

Neither EPs Tal's working on have titles thus far, but singles from these EPs (so Tal tells me) will be dropping sooner than you can say "Damn, I love me some Big Tal!" So get ready for some new music.

Tal is also working on a mixtape with Dj Phenixvibez, due out next year, called "HALL OF FAME SPEECH" which he is very excited about.  There will be original verses and tracks on the mixtape, and some special appearances, so stay tuned!

Tal recently got a cool write up about his music in The Vanguard, CCP's paper (Community College of Philadelphia) by Michael Castaneda, which is on shelves on the campus now -- so go read that article.  It's a well written piece of literature and I am proud to call myself a journalist with that guy Mr. Castaneda around! He has a bright future ahead of him, for sure!  He writes monthly articles on local artists and the like, so make sure you check his column out when you can people.  It's good reading!

Well that's about it for now, the Eagles are playing Green Bay soon and I have to go check on my turducken, it's in the oven with my stuffed meatballs...I call em Mort's balls, get it????? hahahhahahahhahahahahahahaha! no

Sewey Hole Fam in a town near you, Bruiz's new album/cooking show, Tal's new video, Tal buys a kitten and names it Little Riddles

Greetings earthlings!

It is I, Mort Dork! Your friendly neighborhood reporter, reporting on all the latest tidbits of info from around the globe that concern Tal's music and all other things beside!!!

I caught up with Tal recently, who spoke of his new video Ain't No Next Time and how it was a relief to finish, considering it was a tribute for his fallen brother and how much he meant to him.  He also told me to let the people know that the title song from his album "The Rebirth of Leonidas" is also up on YouTube for their listening pleasure, so go and listen, people -- it wont cost you a thing!

In other news, I ran into Bruiz from Sewey Hole Family as I was walking out of Buffalo Wild Wings on Roosevelt Blvd, and he said "Yo, Mort!!!! It's me Bruiz!!!"  And I said "Yo Bruiz, whatchya been up to???"
And Bruiz was kind enough to share where the music has taken him and Sewey Hole Fam over the last year -- from New Jerz to Atlanta, through the Carolinas, and back up north through Boston and NY, and Philly of course, working with Personifyd Media to put on "Entering your City" shows in a club near you.

Bruiz just dropped his new album "Stand up Guy," so stand up, guy (or gal), and get that album...real hip-hop for ya dome, RIGHT!!!!!

Bruiz and Sewey Hole Fam have a big show coming up on August 30th at Local 940, featuring Grym Galaxy (NY), Fes Talyor (NY), KO (Chicago), Ace Mac Loco (Boston), Moe Davon (Detroit), Boodang (Detroit), Sharp Sounds (Philly), R&B King Rey Royale (Boston), Jase (Philly), FamilliR (Philly) and many more! It is destined to be a great night of music!!!

One other note, as I left Bruiz to head on home, the smell of wing sauce permeating my body like some gasoline fumes, I got a text from Big Tal who told me he picked up a kitten and named him Little Riddles, who he is training to rap for a show on Discovery Channel -- stay tuned!!!

Speaking of new shows, Bruiz will be hosting a new cooking show this fall titled "Rapper's Delight" which will feature guest artists cooking up some of their favorite dishes to get your mouth watering, so also stay tuned for that!  Raekwon the chef got nothing on Bruiz's cooking ability....or so I hear!

Well people, this was a just a little insight into the life of I, and I will continue to report all the latest whenever I can!!!

Ain't No Next Time is a heartfelt song about the loss of Tal's close friend, bringing closure to a very difficult set of circumstances in the MC's life. It's a little bit rock, a little bit blues, and all hip hop, rolled up into one banging tribute to a fallen brother.

I caught Tal hopping the Septa rails and got this comment from him, as he ran from security guards to catch his train: "Spread Peace and Love, don't get caught up in the chaos of negative ratchet news feeds, and believe in your dreams and yourself always." He said this with a mouthful of cheesesteak, wizzed up, as he threw me a peace sign and shouted this final message: "Watch Ain't No Next Time, Mort!!!!!"
